How report cards are put together, written and released.
Report cards are built from the gradebook when someone opens them, so a corrected grade always shows the corrected value. They include each class’s final term grades and comments, the standards behind them, and attendance for the term.
- Teachers add a comment with each student’s term grade in the class gradebook, and can write the report card’s narrative paragraphs from the student’s report card. Drafts stay private until marked final.
- The office follows progress under Records & money → Report Cards, then releases report cards for the term (see Terms and releasing grades).
- Families open and print released report cards from Home or their child’s page.
- For a student on an individual plan, the office can upload a separate report to use instead.
