Terms, grading periods and releasing grades

Terms are set with each school year (Admin → School years), from one to eight, in order. The last term carries the final column on report cards.

Under School setup → Terms, each term has two separate switches:

• Release grades: families see final term grades in the portal.
• Release report cards: families can open the formal report card.

Release them together, or one before the other. The screen shows which classes still have grades in draft and who teaches them. Only final grades ever show; drafts stay private.

Withdrawing a release needs a reason. Families who already saw the grades will have seen them.
