Linking parents and guardians to a student

On a student’s page, the Guardians card lists everyone linked.

• Link a parent: pick someone in the portal by email, or invite someone new.
• Change relationship or unlink: set the relationship, Primary, Lives with and Can pick up, or remove the link.

A child has one primary guardian; choosing a new one clears the old.

Why these matter

• Lives with decides which homes are the student’s address. See Student addresses.
• Can pick up feeds the check-out list at the front door.
• Unlinking ends that adult’s access to the child’s records at once.
